Did you know that 3D Max saves crash dumps for a long time on the computer?
Sometimes the size can grow to tens of gigabytes.
These files hang around like dead weight and take up valuable disk space.
If you don't send reports to Autodesk, you can safely delete these unnecessary files.
How to find dump files?
- Open Explorer;
- Go to the C:/ drive partition;
- Turn on the visibility of hidden files;
- Next go to the Users folder;
- Find your user;
- Then AppData;
- Local;
- And find Crash Dumps folder.
Or use this path:
C:/Users/%username%/AppData/Local/CrashDumps
All files with the name "3dsmax.exe" can be safely deleted.
I don't collect large scenes in 3D Max, just look at how much space these dumps take up.
Deleting everything!
This way you will free up space on your computer from gigabytes of garbage that lie like dead weight.
Write in the comments or social media. networks or did it help you and how much space did you clear?
Good luck to everyone!
